Attention to the details

Post by Ranchero50 »

I just spent an hour chatting with the IRS... :?

A couple weeks ago I got a letter from them stating that my with holding allowance wasn't correct and they were going to have my employer change it to 'single' and 'zero' exemptions.

Since I've been on nights the last two months I blew it off until this seven off so I could do my 2011 taxes and then talk to them like a rational human being. :x

Turns out on my 2009 return I mistyped my wifes SSN, then copied it for 2010...

I used H+R block free online submittal tool all three years and this year the return was rejected due to wrong SSN for the wife. :hmm:

Lady with the IRS just says that since they owed me all I have to do is resubmit the 1040's and W2's to get my returns for the last three years. :hd:

So now I'm thinking I should be able to afford to do something to the truck this year :woohoo:

I'm hoping for exhaust, 4-5" mandrel bent stainless stacks. I'll order it to length and fab it in the shop.

I'll also be taking at least a weeks vacation to rent a boom lift to replace the roof on my house. 12-12 pitch 2 story isn't good for old shaky-knees...

Stacks should make for good look. Dont blame you for wanting to get a boom lift. I did some roofing work ( briefly) for a friend of mine. Two hot days on rooftops in San Jose Ca and I was good. not for me haha!

Jamie, glad that "not attention to detail" has benefited in your favor!
I bet the stacks will look awesome-be careful on the roof man. :)
