Pressure Washed and ready for final cleaning for paint
The pressure washer is messy but it does the job. I'll wire brush it and make it look like the rear. The bottom of the cab will ultimately be white but the frame of course will be black.

Good progress there Thundercat. When are you going to take the body off and complete the frame off?

I don't have a way to safely take the cab off right now. Anyway, if I did take it off it would probably end up on my other trucks 4X4 frame. Here's the other truck I had to park when the roof rusted off.

Looks good. Get it cleaned up and back on the road or it will slip into project truck limbo. My 71 has been off the road for about two years now. My daily driver is a 68 cougar. I've got another 67 XR7 in the garage w/ factory air, PS, PDB, and the tilt away column.

That's why I haven't started anything yet. It would come apart okay, but getting it back together would be forever, if ever . I will do minor things that don't take the trucks off the road, even though they don't get driven while I am gone, until I am home long enough to do the full job.

Thats a good reason to leave 'em 99% operational. So if they have to be moved. Or driven cuase the normal daily driver goes down you can still use it while you fix the daily.

I don't want to give em a heart-attack. That is what would happen if I answered the door in the buff. Heck it almost scares me to death when I step out of the shower and look in the mirror.~Mancar1~
