Got my 2wd bronco finished

Post by junkyardjeff »

I always wanted a 2wd version and since one was not made I built my own,I picked up a 88 with front hub or transfer case issues to do the swap and if I knew it was that easy would have done it when they were almost new. I plan on lowered beans and a axle flip in the future but it will need a C notch so it will be next year or so before that happens.

Cool! 8) Chevy made Blazers in 2WD...most seemed to be from Cali. I wonder why Ford never made a 2WD Bronco??? I like it and it sounds like a good plan to drop it. I think it will look better with a lowered stance. It'd be fun to cruise it with the top off too! Keep us posted!

Its got lightning springs up front and some custom rears but still sits a little too high for me,the dropped beams I have are for 82 to 86 balljoints and spindles but am going to look for 87 to 96 beams since I got adjustable caster cams in it now and dont want to give them up. I am going to get some prices on a c notch and maybe in a couple years can get it lower.

Maybe you should take the "4x4" badge off of the truck? It's just below the driver's side headlight. :D

I think the stance is cool where it is. Did you have to weld to the frame to put the 2WD front end under it?

It has been removed after the pics were taken and looking for the 4x2 emblem the 87 trucks with 460s and 351s instead of the EFI emblem.
