Paying it forward

Post by hotrod69 »

I recently came across a site where a bunch of enthusiasts list parts for free. The whole concept came about by listing items they had laying around, and whoever got the item, would pay it forward by listing something of theirs for free. I read 20 plus pages of this and was in awe at the kindness and respect these people had for one another. In my eyes, whether you are restoring, modifying or downright re-inventing your ride, we are all in the same culture and love it for the same reason. That being said I have a few items I would like to start the chain with:

Rear eight lug rims off of my 1969 f-250 Camper Special. These are pretty wide and appear factory
C-6 inspection cover, really nice shape
One drivers side front fender from my 1969 f-250, seems like it has a little bondo, but overall in good shape.

Anyone interested let me know. Lets start this chain and help out one another.

So I see some views, but still no takers. I have this posted in the classified section and have someone interested in the inspection cover. No strings attached folks, just trying to re-pay some nice things done for me in the past.

I have a BUNCH of stuff in and around my old shop free for the taking, tips accepted. lol
I am having to leave my shop and can't take ever close to what I have. I live north of Charlotte NC in Huntersville.
I have a couple 68-72 doors and a couple of fenders. A power steering gear, all kinds of small nuts and bolts from a couple of tear downs. I think there are a couple 302 truck heads, intakes for a 302 and 351w 2v. 460 truck exhaust manifolds. Aa pair or moroso 460 valve covers with a small dent in one. I don't have the time to list it all and ship stuff. I really think I just need to hold a huge yard and shop sell . MUCH more
PM me for address and time and come get it.

I'm saving my gas pennies to go this in June:

Would love to have those rims, but I'm Texas and unemployed...sux big time.
Maybe you could boost the PIF idea around some of these regional meets/shows?
Love the idea...I've got lots of misc. 360 parts that need a home and can't bring myself to scrap it, so it hangs out in a pile in my shop.

Set of '70 I-beams with drum brake spindles. Extra set of front drum spindles. Set of D80E heads for a 351w. '64-'66 third member with 3.89 gear set. Mustang canister style p/s pump. Misc pulleys and brackets, v-belt and serpentine. Set of bump 302 exhaust manifolds and set of 351w exhaust manifolds. Manual steering gear. Points distributor for parts with new cap and good wires. Set of '71 radius arms with slight pitting in bushing area. Mustang style aluminum air conditioner/power steering (combined) bracket with compressor and canister style pump. Right front fender with minor damage. Sliding back glass (I think it fits the bumps, been sitting outside awhile). '71 hood with minor dent in front corner. Set of brake drums with backing plates. Rear e-brake cables. Stock seats belts, blue. Bench seat, usable but nothing to brag about. Buncha other stuff. Pick up only, don't feel like hassling with shipping. I'm in N. Georgia.
