Lifted my Jeep Liberty

Post by fomocoguy »

Just thought I'd share since you all love pics of things modified! When my dearly departed Cherokee got smashed by a tree I replaced it with this 06 Liberty. I kept my new Treadwright Gaurd Dog tires and wheels with full intentions of putting them on the Liberty some day. Today is that day.

Image It's a 2.5" lift kit. They are 265/70 r16 tires (31") but still required a little trimming to clear. It finally looks cool instead of looking like every soccer mom's suv! :woohoo:

I thought them liberties was ugly as heck(Read too cutesy wuetsy) but they have grown on me and sporting those wheels and shoes looks good with that lift.

I don't want to give em a heart-attack. That is what would happen if I answered the door in the buff. Heck it almost scares me to death when I step out of the shower and look in the mirror.~Mancar1~

Thanks! Yeah I kinda wanted to find a wrangler but after looking at one I realized that they just aren't practical enough for me right now. This thing has lots of room, and with the tune I just did on the diesel engine it's got I should be pushing 30 mpg (34 mpg before the lift). A wrangler gets about half that, and this will tow 5k lbs.
