I paid $250 for mine. Watch Craigslist for wrecked police cars being parted out or if you want to install the 4.6 and all buying the entire car may be worth it. The local Pick A Part yard has a few most all the time.

I think I'm going go try and bid on a car or two when they get surveyed out locally. I would like to swap front, rear, engine and transmission into a bump. I wouldn't even mind running the steel wheels with the baby stainless caps. I don't have a truck for it and too many other projects but Ford is out of the Crown Victoria building business. They are only getting more valuable. The last one I saw had a crushed quarter and went for 400 bucks. I thought the front end would be more at the junk yard so I hadn't thought seriously about it until seeing your guy's projects sitting on the ground. You guys make it look easy...or at least straight forward.

I picked up a 2008 Grand Marquis same as the Vic with the 4.6 motor and complete harness and the rear end cheap, I started a post about my project 67 Crew Cap and Grand Marquis swap.

The fabbing is not that hard and plenty of other guys have done the swap with lots of pictures just do some searches and you can find plenty of pictures. If you do the numbers it is way cheaper than any other option and so far I am really happy with everything.

I found some after market wheels with some serious offset that a kid was running on a car and I have some wide ass wheels and tires on it now for only $300! Lots of parts and options and you can make the 4.6 get around 400 hp with a shot of Nitrous, pleanty for me.

Money wise with all of the Cab companies and Police Depts that the Crown Vics and Grand Marquis they are getting cheaper and more common!
Be grateful for every day :fr:

P71 is just the Police Interceptor version. No big deal either way. The P71 versions are easier to locate but by no means a required. The rack is a variable rate rack that is wired through something. My thoughts would be more like rpm indicators. To date I have yet to hear of anyone actually hooking that up. It is not required. It is adjustable. If you want firmer or less firm feel you can adjust the solenoid. The elec just does it automatically as I understand based on how fast you are going so maybe speed and not rpm. P71 is also used in taxis. Do you have a build thread somewhere? Pics, pics, pics :D

So, I'm sure this has been mentioned before but what are the desirable years of CV's and GM's for this swap anyway?
