There was a running Dodge (dart I think, can't remember) that had a 426 Hemi in it that just sold around here for $3200. We found out about it a week late or so
That's actually the second time we've missed a 426 Hemi car for cheap. There was one a few years ago that a widow had, it was her husbands. We talked to her a couple days after she sold it, she said,
"Oh I don't know, it was some four twenty something or other Hi-may? I don't know much about cars. This nice man told me he would get it out of my garage for me, and pay me $1,000 for it."
I think it's a bit of a dick thing to do to take advantage of a widow like that. He should have at least given her $3,000 or something. I don't know the condition of the car, but even non-running with a 426 it's worth that.
Have you decided to keep the Bump now, or still deciding?
As an example in 81 someone offered me $1,100.00 for a pristine Hemi motor with under 30K miles and I sold it. At the time I thought it was a killing, in retrospect it was a blunber of a momental size
