I have had an idea for quite sometime now. I know people that transport rust free 67-72 chevy truck parts back east to sell...would there be a market for 67-72 Ford truck parts?
Reason Im asking is I have a friend that owns property in Oklahoma, I can get rust free California parts and trailer them back to his property. Then if anyone needs clean original sheetmetal,it will be available. What ya think?

Re: Rust free parts?
I think shipping costs will kill you. If east-coast buyers would be interested in paying the shippin/freight costs for rust-free parts, then more power to you. But you might try it on a small scale to see what the market will bear before diving in with both feet. Sorry to be a wet blanket, but I wouldn't want you to mortgage the farm if the logistics of getting the product to your market will kill your profits.
Just my two cents, so take it for what it's worth.

Does a chicken have a pecker?
Yes we East coaster will pay more for parts that aren't rotted than west coast folks because you can't buy things that aren't rotten in the yards around here. We pay more because you have to pay the folks that bring the stuff out here. Example... rust free southern or western 67-72 pick-up bed will bring between 800 and 1,400 (average about 1,200) depending on number of dents, trim etc. and if it has a good tailgate. I don't expect yinz westerners pay near that?
But as was mentioned... you've got to look at the whole picture. You need to have a full load to justify the fuel cost and then you might have to wait for your return on investment. There are folks out here that already do this. Might be best to consider hooking up with them and seeing if they'd be interested in another source for these parts and buy the load from you. They'll need to be able to make their buck on it so you lose some profit but you won't have your cabbage tied up for long...?
