I'm looking for a set of these.....

Post by SevNT2Bump »

The wheels and tires on this roadster are kind of the set up I'm looking to put my truck. I do have 8 lugs and am having a hard time finding wheels like these. I'm not even sure if they would work with the hubs. Can anybody send me in the right direction or know where I could look?

Those are chrome smoothies with baby moons. Try Wheel Vintiques (available through Summit Racing).

Thanks Bobby,

I glanced at the Wheel Vintiques site. They have some nice stuff. I'll check it out later.

That's a pretty cool place edgemcdlf. Wheel Smith will actually make the wheels you want. I'll call them tomorrow about pricing.

I do like the older style wheels over the newer on these older trucks.

I am doing a very similar wheel. Bobby has a set like what you want but painted. His have 4 slots in them & the wheels on the roadster look like they do too. I plan on solid painted with mine, thin trim rings & centers from something early like a '42 or something like that.

I want the wheels to be solid and chrome. I like the size of the tires that were on the truck when I got it. They are 31" x 10.5" in the front and 33 x 12.5 in the back. I might switch to a narrower tire in the front, maybe 8". The idea that keeps swimming around in my head is that I want the truck to have a look that is "inspired" from a roadster. If that makes sense.

I think that wheel set up looks real nice.
