It's getting expensive taking the kids fishing

Oldest turned 16 this year, needs a non tidal fishing license to keep the DNR content.

Walmart's machine is broken down last night.

Dick's was up, $20.50 for me, kid couldn't get his because he didn't have a legal ID (for a fishing license?)

Wife goes to DMV for a $25 'official' ID this morning, waits in line 45 minutes to find out that his birth certificate from when he was born is just a receipt that he has one at the health dept.

Wife is raging, off to HD for a copy of his original BC for another $25 or so.

I'm hiding in the garage trying to get the boat to run after Stabil didn't do it's thing over the winter.

I bought a fishing license in February. It cost me $366.50!!!

Thier out to get you any way thay can nowadays, How can a 16 Y.O. not have a I.D. ? I couldn't wait to get my DL.
Sometime a DL don't even work for buying something. I went to buy a shotgun and was told i needed two IDs to buy a gun, Im 40 miles from home and need a gun for the morning hunt. I walk over to the bait and tackle section and buy a fishing licence then go back to the gun section and buy the gun. I thought that was the biggest crock of poo ever, The state must have really needed that extra $25 i spent.

He's not interested in driving yet and he needed the other info to get his license. Here he has to take a professional driving course for $275 before he can even take his test. To me that's a crock, much less what my insurance is going to do to me when he starts.
