15 cents per pound
I was down at a local recycling yard the other day and spotted a 70 or 71 shortbed that they were using for a yard truck. The owner and I go back to grade school in history and I was kind of ribbing him about buying it. He made me an offer for 15 cents per pound. I have no idea what one would weigh and I was kind of curious whether it might be worth it or not.

Re: 15 cents per pound
Yep, my 72 2wd shortbed F100 with a 302 weighed right at 3500 lbs. My 69 F250 crew 4x4 is right at 5500. Both figures came from the scale at the scrap yard.
3500#'s at 15 cents= $475. Is it worth that? Maybe I should come buy it...
