8 lugs

Post by R.Smith »

What years do the 8 lub pattern fit my 70 F250? I'm looking to ditch the Weld aluminums that came on the truck for a more true path look. Thanks

I believe it's up to the 1997 year. Hopefully someone can confirm this. Good news is that your truck's not a "red-headed step-child DRW" like our cab & chassis models, (so you don't have to be concerned with 8 lug centric or hub centric).

Sweet. That expands the donor pool considerably. BTW, as a red head, I take great offense at your comment...or at least I would have before my red hair fell off the top and started turning grey on the sides:)

Now...are they all the same width? It would be sweet to find a set that are a bit wider but look stock.

My Mother, (and her Mother) both red heads LOL-it's the Irish in us I guess.

Here's a couple of new 8 lug wheel sources:

Dually 8 lug guys, you might want to take note of this one. I don't believe that I've ever found another source for our DRW 8 lug wheels in the years I've been here: :hmm:

Jeff is correct, the standard steel wheels are around up to '97.

They came in 16x6 & 16x7.

All the way up to the '97 F-250HD/F350s. The '99+ stupidduties switched to 8x170mm. Then switched lug vs. hub centric in '05, so I can't even mix my '02 and '08 trucks around. Don't look at the '97-'99 F-250LD ('00+ F-150 7700) as they were a seven lug contraption. I've read rumors that the van's didn't switch in '99, but never looked into it.
