No title
hello im new here and i have a ? can anybody tell how to find the title to a 1970 ford f-100 two wheel drive. i ask because i just bought one from a guy in alabama and he tells me that in alabama you dont need a title for that old of a truck.so if anybody knows how to track down a title for a truck let me know.

best bet is to call local DMV. For a ride that old I know in NC we don't need to have it inspected. Just tag and go.

He's right, Alabama has never required a title-just a bill of sale. He did give you a signed bill of sale didn't he? What state are you in-as each state will treat this differently. Most states will now require you to file for a "lost title" and they'll run a check on previous owners to verify if the truck has ever been stolen-then issue you the title if it has not been.
