Was it wobbling or was it canted that way continually. Wobbling of course bent wheel, canted problem with suspension. Either way I would have parked it and got a ride, for both me and the car. A wheel bent that bad is going to eventually come apart doing more damage. Some people don't have the brains that God gave a gnat.
I would have gotten a tow also! That guy probably needs to find a performance alignment shop that's used to dealing with subtle issues like that. On the other hand, just think of how long most of his tire tread will last--the savings are astronomical!
