OK,
So I haven't been around for awhile, got sent on a deployment/training event for about 2 months or so. Anyhow I come back and my 2000 F250 is having let me say an unpleasant ride. So I took the tires off and find I have a bad front passenger side bearing. No big deal right! Wrong so now in my driveway I have my truck up on stands, a bearing sitting beside my truck fused to the front axle. How do I get these apart without jacking up my axle?

Take some pictures for a better answer.
Usually if the axle is fused to the bearing, you cut the bearing off with a whiz wheel. Cut diagonally across the race 80% of the way through, then whack the cut with a decent chisel and the race will split apart. Wear safety glasses and put a rag over the whole works because the bearing will shoot shrapnel into your body (BTDT)

Re: Urgent Help Needed
OK,
New question, trying to get the hub assembly off I jacked up what I want to call the spindle bearing (may not be correct term). I can get a new from the store but how do I replace this. At this point I would take it in, but it is in pieces in my driveway.
Thanks for any and all help.

Re: Urgent Help Needed
Whiz wheel the bearing races should work on that or you could press the U joint out with a C clamp and some sockets.. what does the new part look like?

Billy,
I'd found on my 2WD Expeditions that the bearing was an integral part of the hub, (you had to buy the complete assembly).
Not sure on on your 4WD maybe Dustin or someone else here knows a little more on them?
Have you seen the new part yet?

Re: Urgent Help Needed
OK... the part you are holding is a thrust bearing... that one looks fine. Some vendors used a brass one, some a plastic.
What is the bearing you are are afraid you 'jacked up'? Is it the needle bearing inside the spindle?
