Dipstick tube fitment

Post by bb429power »

Hey I wasn't sure where to post this because its a combination of the engine, transmission and chassis that are all involved. So I apologize if it needs to be moved.

BUT, I am having no luck finding a trans dipstick tube and dipstick that will fit my truck. 67 f100, c6, and 460. If anyone knows of a tube that will fit this truck and give me a correct reading please let me know. I don't want to spend $80 on a Lokar braided SS one

Haven't posted here in ages, if you guys remember me I got this truck when I was 14, I got a ton done now, and I'm 18 about to move to college. -Justin

did you try to search using a late 70's f250 with the engine/trans combo you've got?
- still got my first first car 20+yrs later : 69 f100 sorta kinda pretending its a Mercury M100 w/a 70 f350 sport custom cab (factory buckets) 67 grille with 69 ranger cooneyes 68 merc box and hood, some supercool fiberglass fenders i scored way back when, 76 f150 disc brake frontend..currently running a 90 5.0HO 4bbl/c4 auto & 3.50 posi...originally a 360/c6 f100 Ranger with dealer added towpack (incl. kelsey hays trailer brake),boxside toolbox, behind the seat stowage & belly tank...only original parts left on 'er are the frame, rear end, rear springs, and rear bumper...

I didn't check with that model, I guess I should. And I think I'm going to go with that Lokar knockoff, it'll look sweet and be easy to install for not much more than a regular setup. Plus I know it will work haha. And I'm trying to use more braided SS parts on this, it looks awesome!
