"Hidden" adds on FORDification

Did I miss something, are there "hidden" adds on FORDification now? I notice there are random words that are now links to adds of all types. I'm guessing someone infiltrated the site, but I'm not sure... Anyone else notice?

I've yet to see this. I wonder if it would be possible for you to take a screen-shot and post it? Of course, if others are seeing what you're seeing there may be no point to that; it's just an idea.

You got bugs dude. I've picked them up myself, give you little hyperlinks to sites off generic words in the text of websites. Run a virus scan, usually it's something you put on or agreed to get a download of some sort.

Malewarebytes usually kills them.

I'm having a problem of being redirected when I click on a website.I have Avast andAvg 2012 which I scan regulary.AVG says on its scan results that it is a rootkit.Neither AVG or Avast can remove it. Does any one know of a good rootkit remover? Thanks George

Run Malewarebytes, I gave up on AVG years ago when it because the bloated slow-all / do nothing it is now. Other than the router firewall I run my XP machines naked.

Thanks guys! I downloaded the trial version of Malwarebytes and did a scan. Turns out that was exactly the problem. I took a screenshot...

Malewarebytes and CC cleaner is bout the best there is.If ure running windows they have security essentials anti virus program that has a light foot print and is actually really good, and free!!

My favorite anti virus is Linux :p Windows is like the Chevy of the computer world. Everyone has one, and most of the time it's broken down.

I set my laptop up with a double boot os system. It has two partitions,100g for windows 7,and 100g for fedora 16 aka red hat linux. My laptop will auto load windows unless i hit the spacebar while its boots at which time it goes to boot menu. Linux is much safer because like you said everyone has windows so thats what viruses are coded to target but I often wonder how long until some snot nose runt decides he going to write virus code for linux!

Part of the issue with Linux is that it's much harder to run code without root permission, and only a total idiot runs their Linux box as root... and has to take a deliberate set of steps to do so. So one can write all the malicious code they want, unless they can brute force to root, or trick someone to running it as root, most viruses aren't going to be worth the bother. Yano, kinda like making repro parts for 67 bumps.... :p
