VIN decoding, pre-bumpside

Post by TexasTruck72 »

Anyone have any resources on decoding a VIN plate from an early-mid 1960s F-100? There's an old F-100 sitting by the side of the road nearby and I was curious what it's VIN plate really said. The truck currently has a 351 V8 and an auto trans(not original for sure). Here' s a few pictures to help.

By the way, does anyone know what this old truck is? I'm pretty sure its an International of some type.

Model Year: February 1965
Truck Series: F100 2WD
Engine: 1V - 240cid, 150 HP, 4000 RPM
Assembly Plant: Michigan

All of this is according to the VIN check on Ford Truck Enthusiasts.

That's an International Loadstar.

They built them from 1962-1978.

Why is it that there's seldom time to fix it right the first time, but there's always time to fix it right the second time???

That's not an oil leak :nono: That's SWEAT from all that HORSEPOWER!!
