Bump=Cult Classic?

Post by rltvader »

Would anyone on the forum consider the Bumpside a "Cult Classic" It just went through my mind earlier. It seems everyone I talk to has either had one, or their dad or grandfather had one, whether it be a regular driver, their own, or a work truck, and I have yet to meet someone who hasen't loved it or anyone who doesn't like it. I think it is on its way to becoming a cult classic, as far as trucks go that is.

I think that it could be considered one, because as i have worked on restoring mine it seems like people are still very interested in it, and i know up here in the Dakotas you still a quite a few of them around. I also think that the 1st generation mustangs are definantely one too. Everytime i drive mine somebody stops and talks to me about it :D I think that my dads saying is very true when it comes to both the bumps and the mustangs,"They either had one, knew someone that had one, or wish they had it back."

No one knows what I'm talking when I say Bumpside.

A lot of the people who comment on our truck for the most part have no clue what it is other than a Ford. There is just something about the shape of the thing that makes people look with interest.

I would say it is, we are kinda a cult about it. I'd say thwe bump is a cult of personality, like mousilini or kennedy...

Wait. We are a personality cult? Crap, there I go behind the times again. I guess I need to take down the walled compound and stop demanding my mechanic wear robes and light incense on an altar made of a 67 grill

I have had mine all of a day, tags are expired, I won't have plates until Monday so I'm driving it with a bill of sale. I've had 4 cops give me the stare down, what was the result? 4 thumbs up! they where just checking out my pickup. So I would say yes.
