Congratualtions on your "barn find!"

I found one last year too but it is a 1968 Chrysler Newport Custom 4 door sedan. 383 two barrel, 727 automatic 32,000 original miles, zero rust and straight as an arrow. I paid $4,700 to the previous owners estate, it was appraised at $6,500. It still has the original muffler, brakes and fan belts. It is on it's second set of tires. It is dark green metallic and dark green interior that does not have a spot on, plus the build sheet is still under the rear seat cushion as it is will most Chrysler products or the era. And, because I am 62 years old and know these years vintage of cars and bump side trucks very well I REFUSE to call any of these nice cars dinosaurs or anything else. My Edsel is big enough but this was our transportation at the time and is very special to me. Please take care of your new/old Ford, they were the last of the over/under headlights and the "big" cushion over the horn button. There were a lot of these cars produced with the 390-2bbl and were a good compliment to the car and the Cruise-O-Matic is certainly a newer improved version of the FMX but with vacuum modulator shifting instead of hydraulic pressure. I think.

Thanks for the post!
