The truck was used as a pismo truck from the PO. He had installed a hack job traction bar set up i took those off the first chance i got. He also had two front matching set of wheels he had them stolen while he was at work one day so i had a set of chevy wheels for the front to get me on the road.

Future plans are
HP D60
GM 14 Bolt
42" TSLs
custom winch bumper up front an out back
re-work the suspention with all chevy springs an shackle flip rear with new air bags
Rear gas tank install

Building it as my Hunting/Camping rig that i can get in an go at any time
with wheeling inbetween. As rare as Highboys are im not affraid to beat the crud out of it on a trail because i can get all new sheet metal for it in one stop at the pick n pull.
So keep posted guys your up to date on how it is now an i work on it as time allows away form the family right now. This is all in the works to someday MAYBE give the keys over to my little boy if hes good.

Wow, lots of work in a short amount of time. Nice looking truck, what trim level was it when new? I see that it had factory air, and all the gauges, must have been a higher end truck.

Can't decide if I like the skinny tires or the beefy ones better. The thin ones have such an unusual look to them, now that we are so used to seeing big tires on raised trucks. They really catch the eye. With the big tires it looks massive, and is. What size are the skinny tires?

Like your truck and the work you've done to it.

He's good to deal with and knows his stuff. I use his CLD tiles with mass loaded vinyl and closed cell foam sourced local.

Thanks,
The truck frame an highboy part was just a run of the mill Camper Special. The cab which is a 70-72' looks to be the XLT as it had the woodgrain dash an what not. I took that out since im not a fan of it to begin wit
The truck did have A/C at one point in its life. I picked it up with just the in cab parts still, no engine compartment parts. I just took the under dash unit out as that i thought that it was one on the ugliest things id have ever seen  Im in no need of A/C in it right now so ill sell all the parts at a later date.I plan on making the inside of the truck just really clean an fresh, dont need no huge out of place box hangging down :hmm:
The big wheels an tires are staying, they are going bigger as soon as im ready for them 38's now 42's later  Ill have to double check as to what size Ryans old skinnys are.
