Explorers, does anybody on here have one?
I haven't seen one on here. Ever.
I am wondering because I thought they were pretty rare and uncommon. I have never seen one at car shows.
Anyway, near Fox, Arkansas, there is I believe a yellow 1970-72 explorer bumpside. Now I know that these are uncommon. More uncommon than XLTs if I'm correct.
If I get a chance should I jump on it? It has a good body and it is just sitting and rotting away unfortunately. I will try to get pictures sometime.
And does anybody have any input on these?

Re: Explorers?
My dad bought one new, a 71' CS F250 Explorer. Very nice truck, metallic green with the plaid seat, factory AC and even had bed rails. (guess the dealer put those on for him as the 250s weren't supposed to have those) I've not seen one in a zillion years.

Re: Explorers?
Took 'em til '72 to finally make up some box side emblems...

They are a one year only design, different than the '73up nameplates.
