Bump's Last Ride

Post by TexasTruck72 »

Was driving today and a tow truck passed me. Had either a '68 or '69 bump on it. Surprised me for a second. I knew where it was headed, the junkyard(or should I say recycling center aka crusher). Kinda sad to see an old truck being hauled away like that :( . But at least it was around for a good forty-something years. Maybe someone will pull some parts off it before it gets "recycled" as the local government loves to say about old 'clunkers' like bumpsides :x . Anyway, I always enjoy seeing other bumpsides no matter what condition.

The scrap metal processors here shred any model under 1995 within two days of receiving it. My wife's nephew works at one of these plants & says his boss says I'm not in the old car parts business. China needs the steel.

Except for the giant dent in the roof of the cab. Otherwise a good looking truck.
