1969 Ranger Explorer Option

1969 Ranger Explorer...I have just run across. The body/bed are in extremely good condition. Paint is original but very presentable. Interior is original but needs complete refurbing. This truck has the simulated vinyl roof. It looks just like the one pictured on this site, same color interior/exterior down to the original wheel covers. the man wants 4800. 70,000 miles. Am I crazy in thinking 4800 is high or because of its rarity and originality, should i leap? thanks

It would be extremely hard for me to give you an opinion sitting here looking at a screen with no photos. Sometimes a photo or photos can be worth a thousand words.

I wouldn't go by NADA prices unless it is an exceptional truck. See Attached.

the truck would need to be just about show room stock to pay $4,800. The hot rod scene has inflated prices recently. Some think they will get NADA prices which IMO are 3 to 4x too high.

It also depends on where in the country you are located. A running, rust-free truck in Arizona might be worth $1200, but in the Rust Belt and in New England, that same truck might be worth $4200. Where are you located?
