My 72 costs me $180 and change per year with an agreed upon value of $10,000 thru Hagarty. If it were on with my daily it would about $350 per year for just liability.

I have 4 drivers (2-primary, 2-part-time) on my policy, with 6 vehicles (two of which carry comprehensive/collision), a motorcycle, and a quad. My '69 F250 added $7/month to my current policy for liability only. If I had opted for state minimum liability coverage, it would have been only $4/month.

If you add the cost for my truck, '93 Probe SE, '74 Beetle, quad, and motorcycle... combined, they add ~$50/month to my policy!

I'm coming in fairly late on this thread, but in case someone else checks in...

I know there's a fair amount of veterans, so if you're a USAA member, they have a subsidiary insurance called American Collector's. My truck is registered with classic tags/plates, so I'm limited to weekend cruises and drive-ins, but with an agreed value of 15k, I pay $106 dollars per year. It's all paid up front at the beginning of annual term, but I think it's a pretty good deal. Also, because this company is a USAA subsidiary, and my daily drivers policy is with USAA, I still get the multiple policy discount. Maybe something to consider if the vets, or immediate family members of vets, are looking for a possibly better deal.

I checked with Hagerty, and the price was low, but....

You need to read the fine print and see if that fits how you use your vehicle. Not that they are trying to screw you or anything but the quote I got had a maximum # of miles, and casual use.

I plan on hauling my tractor, schaffold, etc with my CS, so I went as a rider on my regular policies for $270 a year.

just got off the phone with them, they said they would not insure it if I were to put anything in the bed. mentioned using it like a shop truck, small car parts etc. they basically told me they couldnt insure it. I see their point and they serve a certain crowd, definately not for me though.

I pay $28 month for the pickup and $178 a year for the bike. They asked me how many miles I put on the truck a year, maybe 2-3000. They never asked how many miles I put on the bike which is about 15-20,000. :hmm: I have even told them that the pickup was my toy and the bike was my main transport, but they refused to believe it. When I renew I'll pay a year for both and see if I can't pay 400 a year for everything. :D

Maybe check with Grundy since they now offer the agreed value coverage on daily drivers. Just a thought. I'm sure the daily driver rates are nowhere near the classic vehicle rates, but if it is at least comparable to regular liability insurance, it might still be the way to go just to have it insured for what it's true value is.
