At this stage in my life I don't want complications. Give me simplicity if possible. When I bought old blue, one of the first things I thought about was installing electronic ignition. I wanted a unit that was ultra simple with no outside control boxes, bells or whistles. I found exactly what I was looking for at Hot Spark Performance Products.
I actually installed the new ignition faster than it took to remove the old points & condenser. So far I have over 1100 miles on the new unit with no problems. It's the best value ($66.00) I've spent yet on the truck.
To make sure the unit last a long time don't forget to use dielectric grease between your distributor plate & the unit. Also check the primary & secondary resistance of your coil, mine checked out dead on spec. Have A Great Ford day!

Re: I Like Simplicity
Cipher43: The v/8 unit cost the same as the 6 cyl. When I bought mine the total was $66.00 delivered to my door. When I was running points, if I set the timing above 6 degrees the engine would spark rattle climbing a hill in high gear. Now I have it set at ten degrees with no spark rattle. Excellent little unit for the price. Have A Great Ford Day !
