Happy Vetreran's Day everyone!

Post by basketcase0302 »

From this 3rd generation honorably discharged veteran, happy Veteran's Day everyone. Here's the low down on where Veteran's can eat for free:

Thinking maybe I'll try Olive Garden today-then The Golden Corral tomorrow.
Don't forget to put out your flag today and to think of those that served. I have at present three active duty relatives in the Armed Forces that continue the tradition in my family.

Gonna try and go by the National Cemetery here today as they always decorate it to the hilt:

You are more than welcome, glad someone else got to go. I also wound up at Applebee's and had the burger which was awesome. Sat across from a WWII vet and heard some awesome stories about 1942 and the men who fought that war for our freedom.
Believe I was the only Navy guy in the whole restaurant! :shh:

The waitress at my table didn't believe I was an old sailor. Said I didn't have any tattoos.

Canada also honours our Veterans today , we call it Rememberance Day . There is a section of Highway in the Province of Ontario that was renamed "The Highway of Heroes". It was renamed that because all of our fallen soldiers travel down that section of highway to be repatriated on Canadian soil. This is a song to honour our fallen soldiers but it's fitting to all our brave who have fought for freedom.

Here is a link to the song , http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QrkgV5bl7kQ

Peace to all

A little late but there's never a bad time to pause to remember the vets...
