Everything but the Dipstick
The other day my friend asked what i planned on replacing on this beautiful truck , i gave him a simple answer "everything but the dipstick". Its not really that bad but i do have alot of work in front of me. This should be a fun project for my son and i. Tomorrow i set out to tackle my first repair. The exhaust manifold, this is important to me because i hate breathing fumes and it is way to loud. Thankfully i see this as an easy repair (just kidding), the previous owner has left me a couple sheared off bolts to work with. Top this off with me being a YouTube mechanic and i see banged up fingers and tools flying. I have been shopping for an F100 for about two years, my wife and i searched with the feeling that our truck would find us when the time was right. That saved us the pain of rushing into something and paying too much. Seeing how we knew we would need the extra cash for extra parts. Now our truck has found us and we are ready. Wish me luck, i most certainly need it. talk to y'all soon.

Ok, I am not a 67-72 model expert. I just thought there were orange reflectors on the front sides of the hood on everything after the '67 model.

Looks like all the emblems have been stripped off this one, which is why you aren't seeing the side reflectors

correct about the logos, previous owner had it in his barn near the road and he said he lost the emblems tailgate and battery to thieves. Easy fix there though.

It's amazing what thieves will steal. OTOH crackheads stealing a radiator and battery got me my Ranger cheap. I'm just glad they didn't take the emblems.

Re: Everything but the Dipstick
All right now it's 24 hours later and I have ten sore fingers, two broken bolts. And still three more to come off. I knew my impatience would be the end of me. Oh well tomorrow's pay day so I guess I can maybe buy some stuff to remedy my problem.
