Hello,
A friend of mine has a chance to buy a classic motorcycle but the title is lost and most likely the last registered owner has passed on. Have any of you guys used a title search company that you had good success with? If so what kind of money are we talking?

I buy 4-5 classic honda motorcycles to restore every year some with titles, some without. Check with your state DMV/MVD to see if they issue bonded titles. Out here you get an inspection on your bike/vehicle at the MVD and then get a bond from your insurance company (usually costs around $50-$80) and then the MVD will issue a bonded title which out here lasts for 12 months and then you can get a regular title.
