Took broken up sidewalk concrete to the dump this morning. Did this for my neighbor. He had a bit more than I thought. I even had to go to the lumber yard and buy 2 2x8's to make my side boards higher. I had planned on getting some but not quite so soon. I had 5.2 tons on it. A little overloaded but it easily made the 8 mile drive. I took it easy on turns and over bumps. The hoist easily put the load up and it dumped real good. I am trying to get some hauling jobs to make a little money so my wife won't complain when I need to buy stuff for the truck. It has to earn its keep!

Wow, that is some seriously stiff suspension. Comparing the brush pictures to the concrete load pictures, there is hardly any droop! Man that's a lot of weight...

I hauled two good loads with my bump this week but didn't take any pics. We have been cleaning some electric motors and welders and I went to haul the iron off. My truck weighs 4100 with me in it. On the 1st load there is several big pieces and lots of little pieces. I get on the scales grossing 5920lbs and the truck wasn't even close to the bumpstops. I probaly had 3 inches of travel left. Yesterday all I had was 2 big pieces and one 100lb or so piece. The 1st big piece weighs about 650lbs and I put it in the front of the bed with the little piece and it doesn't squat much. I go to load the other piece thinking its around 600lbs or so. I load it on the back since its hard to fool with by myself and notice the truck is squatting pretty bad but figured it was due to the way I loaded it. My dad is in the truck with me when I pull on the scales and I figured it would gross 5700 or so. Turns out its grossing 6120lbs. That could be why its squatting so bad. . All in all this little truck is a lot tougher than I give it credit for.

new personal record, truck grossed 6440lbs and weighed out at 4340 with 2 people in the cab. This was the first time I have actually been nervous about hauling something

Moving day 1994 in my 72 F-350 w/ 390 & NP435. Yes, I know that she's a little cobbled together, but she sure worked great for me. She is currently being disassembled for a complete rebuild. When I moved again the following year, I had overload springs and new shocks on the trailer. Handled a lot better after that. Not sure what I'm gonna do with the trailer...haven't used that in several years. Obviously, the other truck's not a bumpside, but she is a Ford and was a joy to drive. 1986 LNT-9000 w/ 250 Cummins and 13 gears. As for the scraper, oops! No harm, no foul though.

I decided to take a pic but it's nothing special. I had the day off and we have been trying to clean up. We had a bunch of old tires that need to be hauled off. Some had rims in them and since I am either a hard worker or a moron I decided to brake them down with a slide hammer and crowbars. I have about 10 wheels for the next load but my arms gave up on me after about 7 hours

I will take a pic of the slide hammer tomorrow. The also make a tire hammer, one side is like a regular sledge and the other is like a pick. With a tire hammer you have to be very accurate and hit right where the bead is. You can't do this with a regular sledge.
