M.B. Sanders Junkyard

Post by 68 Ford Stepside »

Mr. Sanders talking to my wife about his junk yard. He probably has about sixty bump & dent trucks on the property located in two different areas. A really nice gentleman who loves the junk business & really loves old Fords. :)

Just to set the record straight & let everyone know I am not looney tunes yet, i have informed this poster it would be impossible for me to delete a pm after i sent it to him.It possibly got deleted when the site went down. Anyway, I have sent another pm since then with the requested info attached.

PS: I didn't post this information to the general forum public simply because i did not want Mr. Sanders deluged with a hundred phone calls all at once. :)

All it takes to make that happen is a fat wallet & a car/truck carrier. I think some of those carriers can transport about eight vehicles.

PS: I see you are from Houston. My niece is a department manager at one of the hospitals there.

Yes, there are several hospitals in Houston, the most famous being MD Anderson for their world renown cancer research. That's what their commercials say anyway. I was afraid we'd have to find out firsthand about a month ago when my then fiancé had a scare, but luckily it turned out to be nothing. Was a very scary time though!

And you're adding to my bump/dent addiction by posting more pictures! LOL

I wasn't trying to imply that you had bought the farm. I recived a PM notice in a email notice and when i checked it the next day the PM had a notice accross the top that it had been removed by the sender. I had a PM in my outgoing box that i had sent to someone and it was removed when the site went down. I do agree that something happined when the site went down.
Could you send me the location again ? The last one didn't come through. Thank you for the help.

I met two guys from England at M.B.'s. They were buying a couple old cars to ship back home to sell. They were not interested in Ford trucks. That's a good thing simply because a time will come when it will be hard to find a bump or a dent used parts for sale. The majority of the crushers around here are already crushing everything they get within 48 hrs. Sunshine salvage says China needs the steel. :(

I must apologize to all those I sent M.B.'s information to as his phone # has changed. His address is 10301 Hwy. 78, Elko,S.C. His phone # is 803-300-1459. As far as I know, he doesn't ship parts anywhere. It is a pick & pull operation. The better half & me are going over this afternoon to pull a near perfect grille from a '69 Ranger.
