'68-'69 Ford Ranger A/C Evaporator

Post by 68 Ford Stepside »

I never realized until today how huge the '68-'69 evaporator housing is. It is so big it almost looks out of place. It's the first one I've ever seen. :)

They are the same from 68-72. They are pretty big but the system seems to be pretty inefficient when compared to modern systems.

I would like to know of a good place to get one refurbished. Mine looks to be in just about as bad of shape as the one pictured.

:yt: And they also sell a direct fit, complete unit for our trucks that look like it would have came factory, and they work great. That is what I am going to do.Hopefully before summer gets here again

I noticed today that this truck has the entire system in place. Nice if someone wanted to run the original system. Personally I would prefer the Vintage Air system. Much smaller in size & more efficient.
