Old Memories, Old Prices

Post by 68 Ford Stepside »

I was thumbing through one of my 1967 Warshawsky & Co. catalogs today. Prices sure have changed over the years. :)

It sure would be nice to still have those prices. I would have lots of new spare parts instead of used parts. Thanks for sharing.

That's probably about what a overhaul kit cost today. :)

It is all relative. What was the average wage back then?

$1 in 1963 bought as much as $6.93 will buy today. Multiply by that factor and prices will seem far more in line.

You guys must be politicians. Way back a dollar was worth a dollar backed by gold. Today a dollar has no value and is backed by Chinese credit. :(

Salaries and wages matched the prices. Although, I feel we are not better now.

Mr. Stepside, I agree 100% with what you are saying but it is what it is right now with what things cost and what things cost then. I would give anything for us to go back to the gold standard but unfortunately it isn't going to happen. I could get political now but I won't. Fuzz
