Actually, I haven't even had a chance to check yet. I'm planning on doing that later this evening. I'd imagine that they'd probably pick up a little for a week or two while people are popping in to check things out. I'm sure we'll even get a few new members out of it all.

Right now I have to get some facts and pictures together, because after I brought that magazine to the newspaper today and was showing it off, they've decided to write up a "local boy gets national recognition" type of story for next Wednesday's edition. They're going to be getting started putting the story together tomorrow and will be taking some pictures too, so I guess that means I gotta take a shower in the morning. Heck, I might even comb my hair! :P Too bad the newspaper only has a 10-square-mile circulation. (JUST KIDDING....in case my boss reads this!)

I'm definitely going to be mentioning that it's not ALL my own doing...I've had a lot of help from all you guys in getting info and pictures for the site. I'm just the person getting it all organized and posted, and I definitely couldn't have done it without a lot of other Ford truck fans giving what and when they could. Thank you everyone!!

It IS a hell of a way to start off the new year though, huh? Kinda makes you wonder what other cool stuff is still ahead. :D

Congratulations Keith. The world will now recognize the 67-72 Ford F-series and take their potential seriously thanks to your efforts here. The great thing about these trucks is they are excellent workhorses and transportation just as they were built. They also benefit from upgrades and modifications and become even better. I believe you have accomplished another part of your goal for FORDification with the mention in the magazine. :D Great going, John.

Keith, that's great. It's even greater it was mentioned in an article, not a letter (means that someone is doing homework at the mag.). It's even greater still that the truck they showed is not even a bumpside, yet no mention of the "other" site. Hmmm, makes ya wonder, huh?

Congrats Keith and everyone else for making the site what it is. This is absolutely the best resource for our trucks!

Just have to wonder why they don't mention the Mustang tank job? Oh yeah, mine should be bolted to the frame by the end of the day tomorrow. "Should" being the keyword.

Keith,

Shoot me a PM if you want a tech article. The closest one I've found to our model years is this one....

Yeah, I was kinda surprised they didn't include that option either, so I'll bet they were just looking for '67-'72 specific stuff online, and found my site and let it go without researching further. I'd really like to include a good tutorial about the Mustang tank swap. I've considered contacting the original author of that '61-'66 article and get permission to use it, and see if perhaps he had good color pictures to use instead of the crappy black-and-white, but I just haven't gotten around to it yet. However, if you've been taking lots of good pictures and making notes of your install, I'd definitely include a tech article based on your experiences. :D

OK, the new edition of the local newspaper came out a couple hours ago, and the article did get published, on Page 2 and 3. I thought it actually turned out pretty good overall. Here's a pic we just took for the family photo album (I highlighted the article in red):

and here are links to the two scans of the article:

PART 1 - - - PART 2.

The picture taken was me checking out the auxiliary fuel tank that Paul just shipped...hadn't gotten it unpacked yet. :D

EDIT: Read the article at this link: http://www.fordification.com/news.htm
