The start of my 72 Project
Well I finally started the "demo" of old Billy on Monday night. I've been wanting to restore him for the past two years.
I've known for awhile that I need a new bed, hood and inner fender. The cab has some rust in the floor pan as well. I have to make the pics smaller to post so when I figure it out I'll drop them in.
I was wondering if POR 15 would solve the rust issue in the cab. I'm going junk yard shopping this weekend for a door and bed.
In the end I am going to POR 15 all the problem areas and get it painted a nice origianl callapso coral red.... I'm pumped to get going on this project.

Hey Tim,
Just wanted to say good luck with the project. May take a while but it will be well worth it when you're done. Please keep us up to date as you go along. From all the posts I've read, it sure seems that POR15 is the way to go to prevent rust in the future.

In life many men take the path of righteousness, some take the path many others follow (G.M. owners, for example), some take a more arduous path, some a simpler path. I, sir, took the PSYCO-PATH!!

Thanks guys. I don't think i'll be done with it by the MNG but you never know. I have so many plans its gonna take awhile. I've had two years to think about it and it will take some time.
I'll keep the postings up.

Great to see you get started on Billy. Good luck, take lots of pictures and keep us up to date. I will get to do some minor things on mine while I am home in Feb.

The "tallboy" busch light is where I get the name from. Just in case your wondering.
I figure a tallboy is more bang for the extra 20cents a six pack

The project is underway, so just do one thing at a time. It'll get done!
