Something weird happened tonight on my way home. My turn signals completely stopped working. However, they still work(as normal) when the key/ignition is turned back in accessory mode. But for the most part there is no clicking, no flashing arrows on the dash, and no flashing tailights or amber running lights outside. They functioned fine until now.
Does anyone know what might be causing this? Or where to start to look/troubleshoot? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The ignition on mine was sticking and killing power to electrical systems. Sprayed some electrical cleaner in the key hole for ignition and everything starting working fine.

That is what is happening. I figured that out late last night after thinking about what all had to work to allow the turn signals, wipers, and backup lights to work. All of those are the same accessory circuit or 12 v power. None of those three things would work when the truck's engine was running. The fuse was still good, so after consulting the wiring diagram I came to the conclusion that it had to be my ignition switch. I just thought by asking on fordification I might get some input or help from other members who may have had this same thing happen. If not, at least you all know this can happen now. I'm going to take out my 40 year old ignition switch and see if I can't clean the internals up or just replace it with a new one. Thanks!
