What In The Devil Is Going On
My sister-in-law emailed me this morning that no guns or ammo can be bought on her Bank Of America debit or credit card. I don't think she is lying or kidding me. Since when did a credit card company have the right to tell anyone what they can or cannot buy. I told her to cancel the card & use a different bank.

That's crazy! I can't stand Bank of America. Uncle Sam's got his hands so deep in their pockets, and vice versa, they play pocket pool with each other on a regular basis.

I think that our country is trying so hard to make sure everyone is "safe" that freedom is becoming a thing of the past. If some psychopath kills 10 people with a [censored] knife, will those be illegal, too? If you outlaw guns, only outlaws will have guns! My heart goes out to the families of anyone who has been a victim of a shooting, but the shooter is the problem, not the gun. The first recorded murder was most likely commited with a rock (Cain and Abel), lets outlaw those! See the logic here, or lack thereof?

Re: What In The Devil Is Going On
I had heard, on the radio several months back, that B of A was not going to extend credit to McMillan Fiberglass Stocks, McMillan Firearms Manufacturing, McMillan Group International (who had been doing business with B of A for 12 years at that point) because "they (McMillian) had become more of a firearms manufacturer than a supplier of accessories, " according to B of A Senior Vice President, Market Manager, Business Banking, Global Commercial Banking, Ray Fox.
Right after this news came out, B of A denied they were against firearms manufacturers or the 2nd amendment rights of the citizens. --evidently the truth has come out that they ARE indeed against both.
http://www.examiner.com/article/bank-of ... s-mcmillan
The mainstream media keeps talking about "assault weapons". An AR-15 is not an assault weapon, but I guess any 'scary looking black gun' is an assault weapon to them and the uniformed. To be an assault weapon, it would have to have fully automatic action. The AR-15 only has semi automatic action, thus, NOT an assault weapon. A weapon that looks like a military weapon does not make it an assault weapon.
They also keep talking about "need". ...Why would anyone NEED a magazine with greater than 10 rounds for hunting? Number one, no one said anything about hunting or hunting needs. Number two, the 2nd amendment doesn't place any restrictions on the type of weapon or capacity there of (only the government does). "Need" only establishes a minimum threshold of what is merely adequate. How does the government determine what is adequate for every individual and for every case?
Do I need a Mustang with over 300 hp and the ability to run in excess of 150 MPH? no. Do I need an old F100? no. Do I need a 65" plasma t.v.? no. But, that's not really the government's place to tell me or anyone else what they do or don't "need." If I can afford it and pay for it, it's none of their business to tell me what I need or don't need, when I am not infringing upon anyone else. The constitution says so, but it seems the current group doesn't know this document even exists.
The Bill of Rights is contained within the Constitution. It is not the 'Bill of Wants/Needs', it is the Bill of RIGHTS.
In this country you are innocent until proven guilty (or at least, it used to work that way). If I owned a gun, then I am within my right to do so and as long as I haven't violated any laws to keep that right, the burden of defending the right shouldn't be on me to keep it. The burden of proving a good reason why I should lose that right should be upon the government --and I haven't given them any just cause to revoke the right, or to even infringe upon it.

Look at New York....you can't buy any "large" sodas there. Just think how much money (our money no less) that our country wastes enforcing laws that never deserved to be passed in the first place! What's next-no candy bars over 1.5 ounces? Do our lawmakers not realize that people who commit murder are ALREADY BREAKING THE LAW! If someone wants to kill someone, are they going to stop because they are afraid of getting a firearms charge?

Re: What In The Devil Is Going On
They can, I tried to buy a new hand gun last week with mine and it was declined. I said what the hell it is a new card and nothing has been charged on it. I got home and call and they told me to read the card agreement, and even told me exactly which page and which line it was stated on. Can't recall word for word, but in short it stated they can decline any purchase that they want no matter if you have more than enough credit on the card or not. If they see it as an unfit purchase to them they will decline the purchase
So I told them to stick the card up their ass and alot of other things before the guy hung up
So I cut it up and threw it in trash. They will never make any money from me. Also for those who don't know Progressive Insurance is also a big anti gun supporter, BIG TIME. So if you support your 2nd amendment right. Don't give your money to Progressive Insurance either!!

Bank of America: Credit, debit cards not blocked from purchasing guns, ammunition
Bank of America flatly denied Wednesday online reports that it was blocking the use of its credit and debit cards for gun and ammunition purchases....
The urban legend-busting website snopes.com declared false Wednesday afternoon the claim that Bank of America blocks its bank card customers from purchasing guns or ammunition. It noted, however, two cases where the bank allegedly blocked its corporate customers from trading in firearms.
Last month American Spirit Arms owner Joe Sirochman claimed on Facebook that Bank of America froze his company’s accounts for three weeks, ultimately telling him via telephone, “We believe you should not be selling guns and parts on the Internet.”
And in April 2012, McMillan Group International operations director Kelly McMillan wrote on Facebook that a Bank of America senior vice president told him after the company began manufacturing guns that his business was no longer welcome.
In that case, a bank representative told Snopes that it “has no policies that would prohibit us from doing business with clients in [the firearms] industry.”

If you're getting your information from Snopes, be aware they may not actually be the final authority on anything. After all, they are a man & wife team who have beliefs and opinions of their own and like the media, can easily have an agenda of their own. Take Snopes with a grain of salt.

...in other (delayed) news...a case of a gun shooting at a school in Tennessee that happened around 2010 that didn't get national media attention. ...oh, that's probably because no one got shot --except for the would-be shooter! Likely didn't get national air play because it doesn't fit the narrative and agenda of the, biased, national media.

What about Activist Post... no good.
"Despite the call sounding authentic, which it could be, another video has surfaced reportedly showing another phone call where a Bank of America employee claims the video isn't true.
At this time the viral video appears to be either mistaken, or outright false. Whether the employee misunderstood the question or the call was fake, the allegation at this time appears to be incorrect. Some have speculated that the caller's PERSONAL account was suspended, not all debit card users.
Regardless of the authenticity of the video, the damage could already be done as thousands of viewers of the video are calling in to cancel their accounts with the bank.
NOTE: I personally called Bank of America to confirm the video and I was informed that Bank of America has not suspended users debit cards."
