Youth Is A Wonderful Thing

Youth is a wonderful thing, don't throw it away! A friend asked me recently if I had a choice between $300,000,000 cash tax free or I could travel back in time twenty years & live it over. I told him without any doubt, keep the cash, I'll take the twenty years. I see too many youth today throwing away their youth. Thankfully both of my sons have their head on straight & appreciate the youth they still have. I'm sure watching me wither away has helped make them realize what they have. Raising my boys wasn't a chore, it was a pleasure & I love both of them as much as I have ever loved any human being. Take Care & Have A Great Ford Day!

That's a tough call there... Twenty years younger as we were twenty years ago... or knowing what we know now? If it's knowing what we know now then yes on the years. If it's twenty years ago as we were twenty years ago then I'd skip the twenty and take the cabbage.

I think I did a pretty good job with the last twenty years and I'm not so sure I'd be able to do anything much better with another crack at it. Also could possibly do worse in todays world at twenty years younger without the knowledge gained these last twenty years. It's a different world to grow up in for sure.

More I think about it.... I think I'd skip the extra twenty either way. I utilized my fifty years pretty well so far I'd say. Not perfectly but had a lot of fun and didn't tick too many people off in the process, and have been a basically good contribution to society I'd say.... So might as well snag the cabbage option and live it up for the rest of my time. Also would make things easier for my family and friends with that much cha-ching. When you think about it... It'd be kind of selfish to deny family an easier run in life by passing on the fortune?

Although I'd like to go back, I think it would be better to move forward. Try to do some good with the time I have left.

As long as what I know now stays with me, I'll replay the last twenty years. You know what they say: "hindsight is 20/20".
