You might check with farm implement dealers in area. Sometimes they know on someone going after equipment that is looking for fuel money.

I used Head of the Pack Transport a few moths back to ship my F100 from Louisiana to California. Cost was $1100 for uncovered transport and took less than 2 weeks from the time I ordered. Since you will be working through a broker, make sure you don't pay any money until the car/truck is loaded. Experience was great for me with no troubles, delivered right to my door. I spoke with many shipping brokers before picking Tom. You can ask that he uses a highly rated trucker (>95%) to help avoid problems. His info is below.

Update: After talking with several crooked and dishonest A-holes I decided on Ultimateautoshippers, Pat the owner was openly fair, honest and full of information about the trucking industry and the brokers who've ruined the trucking profession. Six days exactly after I purchased a shorty in Big Sky country, Montana known as a Blackout state by most truckers this time of year, was delivered just as I purchased it. Couldn't be happier with the service and updates along the way, this is just my opinion but, anyone needing a transporter should consider this outfit or aleast contact them,Thanks Bob for the tip

Glad to hear it went well. The F450 I had hauled through him was the same sort of deal... where it was off the beaten path in Wyoming. Because of the size of the thing haulers were limited as well. big truck with a contractors or utility bed on it and it's a 4x4 conversion so it sits up pretty high. He found an outfit that hauls motorhomes to run it out. took a good bit longer to get here than your shipment but same as you... it got here in good shape for a reasonable price. I would've spent a good bit more for airfare... room... and more especially the fuel to run it back, let alone the time involved.

Well let's see a picture of the new toy...!

I had just had quad bypass 4 weeks earlyer and they kept asking me to give them a hand, Hell, i couldn't even clap. I just kept telling them i couldn't lift anything. I was glad when they left.
The new owner called me the next day to let me know he was happy with the car. I asked him what he thought of the hauler, Buyer said he wasn't real impressed with them and asked them to not take the car off the trailer because he could vision them doing something stupid and messing up the car.

Sometimes you have to pay a little more to get a little more. Make sure to have plenty of pictures before it gets moved.
great story!
