here's my new bump. seems to run pretty good, but needs some tinkering. rust in the usual places, but the cab mounts have been replaced and the floors are ok. mostly lower cowl rust, lower front fender rust and front of back fender rust.

Nice lightning bolt original floormat. Hard to check the floor rust without destroying it
If you need to get the pieces to apply heat to the bottom of your Offy intake, I may be able to help u out. You may not need it since your headers are sitting right underneath it, and they will heat it up pretty fast.
You got a keeper, cant wait to see it progress. And 300-6's rule. Can get 15 mpg.

any rust issues don't bother me. i bought it to drive without paranoia with all the salt on the roads. the cab mounts are good so there are no steering or clutch issues. that offy intake doesn't have any provisions for coolant to pass through it. besides, today i changed it out for the cliffie i have so i can turn the carb 90* so i can get rid of all that funny throttle linkage. now i should be able to run a single straight rod to the carb and clean up under the hood some. the cliffie does have the coolant passages and i plan to hook them up.

i guess i need to edit this. after looking up the color code, it seems this truck is "new lime". it looks exactly like my last 70 and it was "yucatan gold". go figure.

Nice truck. I'd spray all that surface rust with phosporic acid, throw wax over it all, and amaze the neighbors.
Love that floormat.
