removing small pins?

Post by BigRedTruck »

I am rebuilding my motorcycles carb and the pin that holds on the floats is about the size of a pen refill or some really large pencil lead. I have not found a punch that would work. Any idea's?

i use a paper clip on my lawn mowers and then i grab it with my hemostats. maybe a nail if you have to but if you do any thing like hit the nail just tap it. you could brake the housing

What you want is called a pin punch.
You can get a set of them at Menards or Home Depot for about $10.
