.45 Ammo Too Expensive For Target Shooting

I have a big cat, it's pretty fun. Lightened the spring guide rod and made a new piston for it after honing the spring bore to get rid of some of the twang sound. My gun doesn't like any of the Gamo ammo but does well with the cheap heavy Crossman stuff. I usually target a steel plate inside thw wood shed or the neighbors pine cones.

Oh another pine cone shooter. The trick is to hit the connecting stem.

Back years ago, I was pretty danged hard core with a BB gun cuz I shot the thing so much..
And in some ways, I still might think the regular ole round ball might be the most accurate of all of them
in an air gun. Less chance of mayhem like tumbling, etc..
I remember I once had one of those pistols that would shoot either BB's, or pellets. As I remember, I used
to prefer BB's most of the time.

I want to try some of the Crossman domes.. I'm thinking they will do fairly well in mine, being it seems
to prefer a heavier pellet so far. I'd probably need to go to Academy, etc, as the selection at Wally World is
a tad limited. All I've had to try so far are is the Daisy "wheel" pack with three different types. I'm not sure
how good their pellets are compared to others.
I'd also like to try some of the heavier appx 10 gr pellets.. Kodiaks or whatever they are.

I have the 22 conversion for my Kimber and it works great. A little $$$ at $250 (with extra mags) but it has paid for itself in ammo savings.

Got a few there.. Those Crosman Premier Ultra Magnum's look like about what
I'd like to try. 10.5 gr.. And not as expensive as some of the other brands of that
weight.

I've been looking in the wrong places for ammo. I've been in eleven businesses looking for ammo to no avail. Yesterday I walked into a local pawn shop & asked about ammo. He said what can I get for you. I said right now I need a ten box brick of Federal High Power .22 long rifle. Store owner puts them on the counter. Anything else I can help you with. Now, that's what I call service. I will return soon.
