International Harvester ID

Post by jasondart »

I still have my 68 F100, but picked up this beauty for my next project. Thought I would come here to see if any fellow trucknuts can help identify the bed on this 1967 IH Pickup.

Head over to OldIHC.org and post up there. someone might know. I'm on there for my '48 international Kb-8.

The bed is pre 1959. :hmm: It looks like your truck is a 1300 series one ton, 1961-1967, the grille is not visible but sometimes they were switched out depending on deer and cow strikes. We just finished a total restoration of a 1964 1100A model. The original 304 was tired so I installed a new process 345, better cooling I was told, T86 4 speed and 3:73 posi trac diff. Yup, it moves! OldIHC.org is an excellent source of info. Good luck!

I'm just guessing but looking at your pictures and the end gate of the box, did the PO install a hydraulic hoist under this box? He might have switched the factory box for this one if it has a hoist. Also the driver's side mirror is a 5X10" factory option part # 244 733 R91 with the "IH" stamped on the front and are very desireable, and harder to find. I have an extra set here but will be used for another 1966 1000A model with the torsion bar front suspension. We have a IH collector/dealer in this area who has 122 IH trucks in his collection ranging from the 20's right up to 1975. He has firetrucks, Loadstars and Cameo's, Scout's and Travelalls, his latest Travelall is a 1968 4X4, all original. Also, when you get to the body work, the cabs are 22 ga. steel and the boxes are 20 ga so you almost need a howitzer to get the dents out of the boxes. Am going to look at a couple '69 F100's this week. One is a 4X4 and the other is a regular pickup but 360, 4 speed. Will let you all know how it goes.

That bed looks alot like the one on my 57 S-100 atleast on the side. with exception to the spare tire cutout.
