I found a 430 Mel and I don't what will fit off my 360 I need my flywheel my trans and engine mounts

I don't know much about the bulldozer (430MEL). Might be able to do a search here http://ford-mel-engine.com/viewforum.ph ... 35ad5325ce to see if anything would work between the two.

Not much on the MEL motor will work on this swap. I would think you could find another FE or perhaps a 240/300 inline to swap in with greater ease and less pain and $$ wasted. MEL motors were never an option on 67-72 light duty F-series trucks and don't offer much support any longer with parts. Plus it was not that well engineered for durability or longevity (IMHO). 300's are plentiful and have much aftermarket support since they were used in commercial applications for years. FE's offer much more in the way of performance parts vs the MEL. Personally I would run away (very fast) from this motor and save your money and time since you will have mounting issues with motor stanchions and bell housing.

I can imagine a very frustrating event trying to make this swap work. Good luck with your engine swap. If you were close to Arkansas, I could help you out with running FE's or300's. There are several in yards nearby.

Reason y I like this engine so much It different and it has massive amount of touque 465 ft lbs@ 2200 rpm from the factory

Make it work then! I would like to see a photo of it. It has been many moons since I last laid eyes on a MEL motor. Keep us updated and best of luck to you swapping it in!!

That what you want in a truck so you can pull more and haul if you want horse power and torque go to Chevy that y that are bad work trucks. I ain't for sure if I want to do it yet I'm doing a some research on it. Not much on them but I less I call my truck a hot rod Lincoln

i just learned that after 1960 mel engine do not interchange with fe bellhousings and flywheel and trans. So the 390 look better then that 430 cause i do not want a automatic in my truck.
