Question for a different kind of Ford!

Post by Kadassa »

Hey guys! I was just wondering if you fellas might be able to help. Seeng as I'm not having any luck finding a Fairlane club that you don't have to pay to get into. I recently got ahold of a 67 Falcon coupe. And of course being -that- bodystyle there is very little in the way of aftermarket parts. BUT I had a 67' Fairlane Ranchero when I was in highschool and the interior seems to be almost identical...sans the insturment cluster. Hollander says that the Doors on the Fairlane 2 door post and the Falcon coupe are the same doors. And to me this version of the Falcon is looking alot like a reskinned Fairlane....Anyone here have any helpful info? Or can point me to a forum that I don't have to pay to ask questions? Mostly wanting to know if the Carpet, door panels, and seat covers will interchange between post Fairlane and Falcon....this car has bucket seats btw. Any help is much appreciated!

Dunno.. I was thinking they were slightly different, but haven't really looked into it.
I'd probably start by googling/yahooing images for both, and comparing.
I always wanted a falcon ranchero, but pretty rare these days. I drove a 1960 coupe for
quite a while back in the late 70's. It was a good car, but the 144 six was a tad on the puny side.
But it got pretty good mpg and was fairly bullet proof. It had a pretty quiet body for a small car.
I'm sure some parts like seats can probably swap, but as far as being correct, I'd look at as
many images as you can find to get an idea what is normal. I had a bench seat in mine, but
if I ran across Ford buckets, I would have swapped in a second..

This one is a 289 car with c4 runs really strong. And I don't want correct I was just thinking about putting a fairlane 500 interior in it with console....Now I did see a 67 fairlane hardtop a while back with a 67 Falcon front end on it and the bodylines lined up perfect looked funny! And yea I been doing that already
