Re: Final Restoration of F600 Gauges
I bought the complete assy. on Ebay, Thats original chrome. Repainted the background motorcraft argent silver not an easy task masking all of the holes. The black circles are really thin vinel spelled wrong. bought it at hobby lobby.
used a modified compass with hobby knife blade to cut the circles. Note painting and cutting the circles took me several tries since I'm new at this. All new LED bulbs. had to put an electronic flasher in to make the blinker LED's work
replaced all of the gauges that came with the cluster with NOS ones. Still have the originals in great shape as spares. repainted the inside of the cluster also. The wiring harness was modified as it did not come with blinker leads. Made
to be exact replacement so if I ever want to go back to OEM gauges plug and play. I now have four complete bezel setups. The standard cab steel bezel setup, Two of the common plastic with ford written in the middle one with repo
bezel, and the one pictured F600.

Ebay right now has an NOS Tachometer for this bezel $200. I called a company about converting it to electronic $200. Way, Way, Way out of my budget.

Wow!...they really look great!...my cluster came out of an F-750 dump...has an air pressure gauge and mech. tach...it had some rust pitting that I lightly sanded then touched up with chrome paint...then I painted the background white...it's not perfect, but it looks good...plan on sending it out for rechroming when I paint the truck. Nice job!

Re: Final Restoration of F600 Gauges
The only thing I Don't like about the F600 cluster is the speedometer does not line up with the steering column. Does anyone know if they did line up in the big trucks just curious. Thanks

Re: Final Restoration of F600 Gauges
Your gauge panel looks awesome! Btw, it's not the gauge panel that's off center, it's the steering column. It leans toward the door a degree or two by design.

Re: Final Restoration of F600 Gauges

Re: Final Restoration of F600 Gauges
Looking really nice
I was going to get one for mine out of one of the many f600's in the scrap yard, but found out my buddies dad swiped them all and sold them on ebay
So I custom made my own
