looking for shop in Oregon to paint truck

Post by I-beam »

I am trying to get my bump preped and ready to paint by this fall. I need to find a shop some where near Eugene Oregon to paint the truck. If anyone has any leads I would greatly appreciate it.

Right now I have it pretty much apart and getting ready to clean parts.

Might want to declare some kind of level of finish and define a budget. Pretty easy to spend $10K to get a decent paintjob.

I have been studying and asking a lot of questions on how and how much it would cost to get a nice paint job. Right now my plan is to do all the prep work done to bare metal with any body work needed. My parents bought this truck when I was in junior high school and it has been in the family ever since. I am enjoying just taking it apart and see how everything works. I take it one day at a time with the money I have. I may end up setting up some make shift shop at my place to paint the truck. It would be nice if there was a shop out there to rent long enough to paint my truck. I am concerned about climate control while I apply the paint. I am trying to get this truck done before my folks pass away, they really liked the truck. My dad has mentioned that he was planning on restoring the truck but about that time he started haveing severe bouts of vertigo and his health is in steady decline. We had a lot of good times in the truck, and it has us closer together. We live out of town and he made the effort to come up and look at the truck to see how it was going. So, I plan on just doing what I can with what I have. Thanks for replying to my post, I am new at this and still figuring out how this site works.

when shopping around for paint on my 93 a few years ago, i noticed that almost nobody wanted to do a complete repaint. it took me quite a while to find a shop that would do it. just be prepared to do a lot of looking and getting high estimates. i hope this doesn't come out sounding racist, but have you tried a "mexican" paint shop? i have seen some really nice work come out of those shops around here. :D

I am hoping to be able to rent a shop somewhere and paint the truck myself.
