Perhaps you should check your facts.

Jamie moved your other post to the engine forum. (and reopened it).

As for your flame job for me, I deleted it.

But here is your answer to it.

Your post was locked not "blocked" because you chose to disregard the rules and stated as much right up front in your post. That is flagrant disregard for the rules.

If you see "political stuff" then simply report it.

If you have a question about placement please just ask.

7 Combat Stripes!

Post by ford4x4fun »

I don't ask for a lot... I don't expect a lot... I have been a member for a long time on this forum... I have donated to the site... And I have also learned a lot... I have spent enough time in foreign lands to earn the freedom of speech. I tried to help people out and one person with a power trip spit in my face. That is OK, though, I will take it for what it is worth. I will not be silenced and I will not be told to hold my tongue, from some moderator who feels like they just need to lock a topic just to lock it. I apologize for posting a video in the general discussion forum, but I thought maybe someone could learn from a mistake I made. Some people just live on the little power they have, and I know that at the end of the day that is all they have. Bring it on ban me at this point I don't care. Thanks to all that have helped. Thanks to all that give information. This could have been handled better, but to tell me to dial back the smart ass a notch or two is disrespectful to me. I wasn't a smart ass I was just being honest. I know you will lock this down and delete it, but I was once told by a very wise man if you don't want it repeated don't write it down. I copied and pasted your remark duckryder. You tell me if that makes a good moderator. I am a man, a combat veteran, and if you where to say that to my face, I would direct your nose in the correct location. So that is it gentlemen you all take it for what it is worth.

*Munches popcorn. * also websites are private forums. You have as much freedom of speech as you are allowed.

Playing the combat vet card is just disgraceful.

Nope not overreacting, and just stating a fact on the combat veteran issue. I have never once said a cross word to anyone on this site, and have never been degrading to anyone. I just ask the same in return. A common ground of professionalism. If it you wouldn't say it in a general message you shouldn't say it in a PM.

Yep I hope everyone holds themselves in high regard. I work hard, I take care of my wife and kids, and try to help others when I can. That is how think everyone should be!

Pick your battles. I'm not trying to trivialize your feelings; I'm just saying fight claw and tooth for what matters and let pass what does not, difficult as it may seem.
Hang in there :)

I thought the video was pretty cool and you did the right thing posting it where the handful of people that still use this forum might look. I don't think you should take it personal and I'm happy to not be a moderator and have to continually enforce/explain rules.

Sure doesn't seem like the way Kieth would have handled it, but who knows. Times change. Kieth hasn't been active here for years.

So now that I am not as mad. Maybe I shouldn't have thrown the Veteran card, on the table. My only point to that, was if you wouldn't say it to someone in real life you shouldn't say it here. I wouldn't walk into any group of people that I wasn't joking around with and say "dial back the smart ass a notch or two as well". Without expecting something out of it. Regardless everyone on this site deserves to be talked to how you would talk to people in person. So the point on dropping the veteran card was I am not just some snot nosed kid, I am a full grown adult so speak to me like one. I was being a bit ticked off, because the subject got locked, without a PM to me or anything. I didn't post it in the engine because I thought maybe it belonged in paint. I didn't post it in paint because I thought well maybe it belongs in the engine forum. Than I thought well it is just crazy enough that lots of people should see it just because the chances of it happening again where slim to none. So I apologize for being pissy about it but it was handled wrong!

All of this will blow over quickly if you let it. Hate to lose a good military man. I being an ex military man myself completely support the military. How could I not. While I am sitting in my recliner, the soldier is knee deep in mud surrounded by the enemy & too much blood & death. To most of us this posting matter seems trivial, but it may not be to the individuals involved. Let it cool down & Have A Great Ford Day.
