I watched that old black and white Tv western show The Rifleman today for the first time . Now I'm ready to trade my shotgun in for an old lever action. Has that happened to anyone after watching it? Ha!

I believe his was modified with a large circular "lever." I watched that show a lot when I was a kid, along with Gunsmoke and the Lone Ranger.

Yes they do! Looks like a Marlin or Rossi clone would be more my price range.

I love the opening credits when he is rapid firing then spins his rifle to rack it for the last round while glancing towards the camera. Kicks butt.

I got one for $100 once. Traded it for a 67 ranger, along with a shotgun and $100

Why trade the shotgun? Why not keep it and just get a lever action rifle?

That laminate stock looks really nice on the 336BL. Yep, I'll actually keep my shotgun. The more I think about it...12ga shotguns are just too dang handy. I like the marlin 1894 too in 44mag or 357mag. Maybe get a large loop lever aftermarket.
