Chassis interchange???

Hey guys. Not for sure if this is where I should be posting this question , but I'm hoping that someone here could enlighten me with their wisdom.?.? I have a '66 SWB F100 that I will be fixing up for my lovely bride. I'm wanting to do a CV front end, DOHC engine & AOD trans. I have a spare '68 SWB chassis. I was thinking about doing all the suspension mods on the '68 frame and create a rolling chassis and then swap the '66 over to it.?.? My question is. Is the '66 and the '68 frames similar enough to do this???

I believe that the cab bolts will all be identical. I don't know if there will need to be any changes on the bed though. Do you have the measurements of the 66 bed? I could get the measurements from mine easy enough and compare. Maybe someone knows for sure though!

Thanx for the reply. Did you ever find a pwr steering dip stick for your ride??? Also. Where did you get the avitar of your project??? I would really like to get one of my own...
